The deal -
Factory bank or free banks. A picked preset ships inside
Phaseburn One or in a free downloadable bank — credited to you either way.
-
Inclusion isn’t guaranteed. We listen to everything, but
picks are at our discretion and nothing is owed.
-
One shipped preset earns a discount. At least a solid one on the
full license.
-
Top submitters get it free. The full license, for submitters we
pick.
-
We may adjust volume — never the sound. A shipped preset can be
levelled to sit right in the bank, and a name or description trimmed for print;
the patch itself stays untouched.
Before you export
-
Click AUTO on the Mixer’s PRESET fader,
then save — one click lands your level at the factory reference.
-
Title-case the name: “Like That”, not
“Like that” or “like that”.
-
Keep names and descriptions clean — no trademarks (synths, artists, brands),
nothing offensive.
-
Submitting a one-shot? Clear the sequence instead of just switching it off —
Clear All on the GROOVE → BEATS page, then save.
-
Submitting an insert effect? Tick Insert effect in the save
dialog so it wears the FX badge in the browser.
-
Make it sound right around C3 — the root can be any note;
what matters is that the preset's main sound plays well around middle C, so
whoever flips through the bank hears it as you meant it. If the sound belongs
higher or lower, put it there with the preset's Octave (at
the left of the keyboard row under every page) rather than leaving the next
player to guess; the browser shows the root with every preset, so nothing
about pitch needs to go in the description.
