Refunds & Right of Withdrawal

What you can get back, when, and how.

Last updated: 26 July 2026

The free beta build

The beta build itself is free — no card is required to use it and no money changes hands, so there is nothing to refund on the build. License sales open on October 15, 2026, and every purchase gets the full protections below. The beta terms live on /download.

EU consumers

EU and EEA consumers have a 14-day right of withdrawal for distance purchases. For digital content delivered by download, that right ends when the download begins — but only after you have given express consent and acknowledged the consequence. Concretely, at checkout you will be asked to tick a box that expressly requests immediate delivery and acknowledges that starting the download ends the right of withdrawal. If you do not tick it, we deliver after the 14-day window instead — exactly as described in the Terms of Sale.

Until your download begins, you can withdraw without giving any reason and receive a full refund.

Defective software — always covered

Waiving withdrawal never waives quality. If the software does not conform to the contract, the statutory remedies of Directive (EU) 2019/770 apply regardless of anything above: bringing the software into conformity (fixes and updates), a proportionate price reduction, or termination of the contract with a refund. These remedies do not expire after 14 days.

Outside the EU

We respect the statutory rights of your local jurisdiction. Where local law grants you refund or warranty rights, they apply as written — nothing on this page reduces them.

How refunds are issued

Card payments are handled by Paddle, our Merchant of Record. When a refund is due, it is processed through Paddle back to the original payment method; the time it takes to appear depends on your bank or card issuer. Reach us the usual way and we arrange it with Paddle on your behalf — you do not need to contact them yourself.

How to ask

Use the contact form and include your order reference. That single route covers withdrawal requests, conformity complaints and everything in between — a plain unequivocal statement that you want to withdraw is enough, no form required.
